2014 H-1B Quota: The Suspense
April 1, 2013

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services will start accepting Fiscal Year 2013 cap-subject H-1B petitions today.  Will they receive more H-1B petitions than the quota cap by April 5?  The Agency has announced in a recent press release that more petitions than the H-1B cap will get filed between April 1 and April 5.  Also, there  are various predictions and analyses in the cyberspace about such an eventuality.  At our office, we were busier than recent years.  We hear similar stories from our colleagues as well.

Let us wait for the USCIS announcement of the final count next week.
